The Only Previous Home Playoff Game

The Only Previous Home Playoff Game was in November of 1990.

From the 1990 Trojan Annual:

The 1990 Trojan Football team was led by a great group of seniors.  They helped pull it all together and with the teams dedication and hard work, they came out with a 10-4 record.

The Trojans started off with a preseason win over Fulton and on September 9, New Hope’s ofense and defense did a remarkable job against the South Lamar Stallions.  Trailing 21-7 at the half, New Hope rallied to take a 28-21 victory.

The homecoming game against the Kemper County Wildcats was a sure win for the Trojans as they took the victory 34-0.

On October 21, the Trojans gave Coach Jimmy Moore his 200th win with the final score 28-0 against Winona.

New Hope payed a perfect game in the first round of the State Play-offs and beat Collins, the number 2 ranked team in South Mississippi, 14-12.

In the second round of the State Play-offs against Forrest, New Hope won 21-14 due to team effort and an interception in the last minute of the game.

Advancing to the Final Four in South Mississippi, New Hope lost the last game of the year to Mendenhall.
